Wow what a finale! Christmas Miracles At Hedgehog Hollow is another gorgeous emotional ride from Jessica Redland and I loved it。 It’s been wonderful being back at Hedgehog Hollow with Sam and Josh and their family and I especially loved how Fizz’s story was developed in this instalment。 Never one to shy away from a difficult subject, Jessica Redland has again handled it sensitively and with empathy。 With the gorgeous setting of the Hollow and the brilliant characters, Christmas Miracles at Hedge Wow what a finale! Hedgehog Hollow has a festive vibe in this final book in the series and reflects the ups and downs of life in the author's emotional and heartwarming way。 Told from Sam and Fizz's viewpoints, it deals with the joys and worries of pregnancy and Fizz's disturbing secret, explored sensitively as a family reunion means Fizz has to share her past trauma。 There are lots of memorable hedgehog and Badger moments too。Fizz's story is emotional and heartbreaking but ultimately positive and uplifting。 Sam h Hedgehog Hollow has a festive vibe in this final book in the series and reflects the ups and downs of life in the author's emotional and heartwarming way。 Told from Sam and Fizz's viewpoints, it deals with the joys and worries of pregnancy and Fizz's disturbing secret, explored sensitively as a family reunion means Fizz has to share her past trauma。 There are lots of memorable hedgehog and Badger moments too。Fizz's story is emotional and heartbreaking but ultimately positive and uplifting。 Sam has to come to terms with problems in her life, but her story ends in a lovely way。 It's enjoyable to reconnect with the vibrant cast of characters and see how their lives have progressed。 The festive twist reinforces the importance of family and friendship in a way that resonates。I received a copy of this book from the publisher。 。。。more

This is one of my favourite book series ever。 I love the whole atmosphere around the rescue centre and how it came about, it deals with family issues, deep friendships。 romance and bumps along the road along with getting to know the characters better, so that you feel they are a part of your friendship circle。Sam and Josh are expecting their first baby and I loved the finale to this series- even if I wasn't really ready to let it go! So, this is a bittersweet moment for me, reviewing the final instalment of this wonderful series。I will miss immensely Sam and all the great characters and the lovely hedgehogs! I've found this last book hard to read, partly because I knew there wouldn't be a follow up and partly also because the themes treated are particolarly sensitive, but as usual, when it comes to Jessica Redland, dealt with a delicate touch。The perfect ending to a beautiful series!Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books So, this is a bittersweet moment for me, reviewing the final instalment of this wonderful series。I will miss immensely Sam and all the great characters and the lovely hedgehogs! This was one emotional roller coaster read and I felt sad that it is the end of this brilliant series。 I have become totally invested in Hedgehog Hollow stories and all of the characters, I loved them all and this one was no exception。 Jessica's books are just so easy to read and so easy to get sucked in that I always feel a part of the book。 Her writing just flows well and with different life situations for the characters, it feels quite realistic!Sam, is one of the kindest, patient, most forgi This was one emotional roller coaster read and I felt sad that it is the end of this brilliant series。 I have become totally invested in Hedgehog Hollow stories and all of the characters, I loved them all and this one was no exception。 Jessica's books are just so easy to read and so easy to get sucked in that I always feel a part of the book。 Her writing just flows well and with different life situations for the characters, it feels quite realistic!Sam, is one of the kindest, patient, most forgiving people I've probably ever read about and I couldn't help but love her。 Josh, her husband is amazing, he is so supportive and would do anything for Sam and their extended family。 It's been brilliant to follow them on this journey of building Hedgehog Hollow。 With their baby due soon, there is a lot to do and Christmas is around the corner but of course, it's not plain sailing。Fizz is one of the volunteers at the rescue centre and she is a breath of fresh air, so bubbly and seems carefree。 I instantly liked her from the beginning of the series。 I always hoped Fizz and Phoebe would get together but Fizz had a girlfriend。。。until now。 She has been living with a terrible secret for many years and now is the time for that secret to be told。 It must have been torturing to have kept that a secret for so many years but because of Fizz's bubbly nature she hid it well。As they say, all good things must come to an end and much to my dismay this book concludes the Hedgehog Hollow series。 I could read about Samantha, Josh, Hedgehog Hollow and all of the characters for a long time to come。 I do recommend reading the series from the beginning to really get the feel for these characters' lives。 I have to thank Jessica Redland for such a brilliant series that has really touched my heart。 I also now know things about hedgehogs I never knew before! 。。。more

This was a bittersweet book。 Bitter because it is the final book of a 6 part series which I'm so sad to see come to an end but also very sweet because it ties up a number of storylines regarding the characters in the previous books and left me feeling satisfied, happy and emotional。 This book can be read as a standalone thanks to Jessica's listing the characters in the first five books at the start of this one but I do think it would be easier to engage with the characters if the reader has read This was a bittersweet book。 Bitter because it is the final book of a 6 part series which I'm so sad to see come to an end but also very sweet because it ties up a number of storylines regarding the characters in the previous books and left me feeling satisfied, happy and emotional。 This book can be read as a standalone thanks to Jessica's listing the characters in the first five books at the start of this one but I do think it would be easier to engage with the characters if the reader has read the previous books as there are numerous people involved who come into the story gradually as the series progresses so it isn't quite as overwhelming as being introduced to all of them in the final book。 As usual the story is filled with joy, love, kindness and of course gorgeous hedgehogs but reader, beware, as there are also some very hard hitting and sensitive subjects covered in the book as well that some readers might find upsetting。 Thankfully, the author cleverly includes plenty of light amidst the shade with some fun and light hearted moments, romance, Christmas and a lovely festive, family vibe。 I would love there to be a Gwendoline, Thomas and Terry book sometime in the future to learn more about these three lovely characters who we only meet very briefly but who are hugely instrumental in creating the magic that is Hedgehog Hollow。 Thanks to Jessica Redland for getting me hooked on hedgehogs and giving me many happy hours of reading with this wonderful series。 My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for my honest review。 。。。more

A lovely end to a wonderful series。 I'll be sad to say goodbye to it and the wonderful characters from Hedgehog Hollow。 It was lovely to read more about Fizz in this book as I really liked her character from the previous books by what an absolutely heartbreaking secret she was holding on to, but I'm so happy how things eventually turned out for her。 My heart did break at several differnt times during the book, particularly the part with the animal cruelty。 It was a bit of a rough read。 Christmas A lovely end to a wonderful series。 I'll be sad to say goodbye to it and the wonderful characters from Hedgehog Hollow。 It was lovely to read more about Fizz in this book as I really liked her character from the previous books by what an absolutely heartbreaking secret she was holding on to, but I'm so happy how things eventually turned out for her。 My heart did break at several differnt times during the book, particularly the part with the animal cruelty。 It was a bit of a rough read。 Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow wrapped everything up wonderfully for all these wonderful characters。 Jessica Redland is the queen of writing books that really do your heart good。Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this Advance Reader's Copy。 。。。more

I always knew that this would be an emotional read。 The final instalment in a series which has been filled with joy and heartbreak would have to rise to the occasion and tie up any loose ends。 I can confirm that not only were those loose ends tied up, but they even received a big bow。 That said, it was not an easy read, and I found a couple of aspects of the story to be personally challenging。 It was lovely to be back with the wonderful characters at Hedgehog Hollow and to catch up with Sam and I always knew that this would be an emotional read。 The final instalment in a series which has been filled with joy and heartbreak would have to rise to the occasion and tie up any loose ends。 I can confirm that not only were those loose ends tied up, but they even received a big bow。 That said, it was not an easy read, and I found a couple of aspects of the story to be personally challenging。 It was lovely to be back with the wonderful characters at Hedgehog Hollow and to catch up with Sam and the rest of the gang。 Once again, Sam and Josh feature in the main story, but this time, we learn more about Fizz and her love of unicorns, sparkles, and hair colour。 Her presence in the earlier books has always been welcome and her dad, the local police officer has made more than a couple of trips to the farm。 As the story unfolds, we learn about the heartbreaking experiences that young Fizz endured。 Her story is not for the faint-hearted, but Jessica Redland is not afraid of tackling the big issues in life。 After breaking up with her girlfriend, Fizz finds herself living alone in one of the holiday rental cottages。 She draws strength from an old friend and confides her darkest secret in him, which leads to her being ostracised by some parts of her own family。 However, Fizz remains oblivious to Phoebe’s mounting attraction to her。As Sam and Josh prepare for a life-changing arrival, Sam encounters a difficult character named Brenda。 Her attitude makes life challenging, and it becomes clear that Brenda is hiding her own sorrow。 I was able to identify with this experience as there are plenty of Brenda’s in this world。I really don’t want to share any more of the story as I would hate to include any spoilers, but I can confirm that this story is exhilarating, challenging, and ultimately uplifting。 Jessica’s characters are all beautifully developed with each one following a life-affirming story arc which leads to this fabulous conclusion。In case you haven’t guessed, this is a truly wonderful story, and I absolutely loved it。 If this is your first visit to Hedgehog Hollow, then you can enjoy it as a standalone story because Jessica includes a quick recap of the recurring characters。 However, I would wholeheartedly recommend going back and reading the rest of the series。A perfect ending to a fantastic series! 。。。more

Oh, this is such a bitter-sweet review as this is the final book in this series, although the author does mention the possibility of coming back to some characters mentioned。 I for one hope that she does。This has been a fabulous series and one that I have read from the very first when there was no rescue centre, when the house was run down and where an elderly man was alone。 The author has created such a heartwarming series and each step of the way I have been hooked。 Following the comings and g Oh, this is such a bitter-sweet review as this is the final book in this series, although the author does mention the possibility of coming back to some characters mentioned。 I for one hope that she does。This has been a fabulous series and one that I have read from the very first when there was no rescue centre, when the house was run down and where an elderly man was alone。 The author has created such a heartwarming series and each step of the way I have been hooked。 Following the comings and goings of the people, the families and friends and obviously of the little prickle balls themselves。This final book is another heartwrenching one, although it is also full of wonderful surprises and new starts。 Yes it does have Christmas mentioned ( this book was released in September btw) and it was a refreshing book to read in the August sun。Family and friends are looking toward Christmas, but it is going to be a strange one in some ways as things don't remain the same。 I did like the way the author didn't make it excessively festive but concentrated on the close-knit family, extended family and close friends of those who have been part of Hedgehog Hollow over the years。 Christmas is a time for remembering things and not all are good。 there are some very tough times ahead for some of the characters as they have to admit things that they have kept hidden for far too long。 Sam and Josh are awaiting the arrival of their new baby, and this is one of the new starts I have mentioned。 There is a sense of fear and excitement as they await the birth, but there is also plenty of other things going on in the story。 It does have a feeling that the author has started to bring things to a close, but it has been done in such a wonderful and natural feeling way。This book was a real emotional rollercoaster, there were so many moments when I had to swallow a lump in my throat or wipe away the odd tear so I could keep reading。 I would love to share all these moments but I am deliberately avoiding this。A vague-ish review as such as I don't want to spoil any of the numerous and wonderful moments if you are still to read this one。If you are a fan of contemporary fiction and romance with family and friends being the focus then you need to have a look at this series。 There is romance, trouble, challenges, expectations and so many wonderful surprises throughout the series and also this final book。 This has been a fabulous reading journey and I have learnt more about hedgehogs and this has been incorporated into the storylines so well。 Fabulous series, with amazing characters and wonderful storylines that I would definitely recommend。 。。。more

I was so excited for this book and I think it may well be my favourite from the whole 6 book series。 Jessica always puts a little ‘what’s happened so far’ at the start of her books which I find really helpful as it can jog your memory from the previous book。 Along with the character guides this also means that if you hadn’t read the previous books you could jump straight in with this book and understand who everyone is。As soon as I started reading I was transported straight to Hedgehog Hollow wi I was so excited for this book and I think it may well be my favourite from the whole 6 book series。 Jessica always puts a little ‘what’s happened so far’ at the start of her books which I find really helpful as it can jog your memory from the previous book。 Along with the character guides this also means that if you hadn’t read the previous books you could jump straight in with this book and understand who everyone is。As soon as I started reading I was transported straight to Hedgehog Hollow with Sam and Josh and their ever growing family。 It really does feel like you’re a part of their world when reading these books and I find myself easily immersed。 Things never go plain sailing for Sam and it’s safe to say that that is also true for this book and boy oh boy is it an emotional journey, there are a lot of sad moments in this so I would recommend having some tissues nearby! It felt like a fitting end to what has been a wonderful series。Overall, this was a wonderful story, a fitting end to the series, and simply a joy to read。 I strongly recommend starting with the first book in the series, and reading all the way through。 It’s such a brilliant and rewarding series!TW: childhood sexual abuse (off page)。I was given a copy of this book, my opinions are my own。 。。。more

Jessica Redland does it again! A beautiful end to a fabulous series, the story took me through many emotions alongside the wonderful characters。Sammie and Josh have extended the Hedgehog Hollow rescue centre, and are expecting their first baby。 Can they make their way through the difficulties that arise to safely extend their family once more?We also hear Fizz's story in this final instalment。 Her background has been hinted at in the previous books, but this time round we get to understand her l Jessica Redland does it again! I was gifted a Netgalley ARC and it felt right to read this book while it was nearly 100° outside! With the flavor of a Hallmark special, this book focuses on relationships in a small English village both with our family, and the family we choose。 Packing in birth, death, break-ups, traumas (new and old) and new beginnings, there is a lot in this short book。 For someone who hasn't read the other Hegdehog Hollow books, jumping in was a bit hard - but the character summary at the front helped。 I st I was gifted a Netgalley ARC and it felt right to read this book while it was nearly 100° outside! With the flavor of a Hallmark special, this book focuses on relationships in a small English village both with our family, and the family we choose。 Packing in birth, death, break-ups, traumas (new and old) and new beginnings, there is a lot in this short book。 For someone who hasn't read the other Hegdehog Hollow books, jumping in was a bit hard - but the character summary at the front helped。 I still felt like some characters didn't come together until too far in (e。g。, Fizz) and others just weren't explained enough, but set at Christmas and with a backdrop of hedgehogs…I was often smiling! With a "happily for now" ending, each character is left with big issues resolved, but enough questions to continue the series on。 。。。more

2。5 starsThank you to Netgalley and Boldwood books for providing me with a free Arc in exchange for an honest review!I thought it was absolutely fine but very mundane and not as christmassy as I would've thought from seeing the cover。 It is a heartwarming story however。 Told from multiple point of views with sweet and short chapters and I really enjoyed the hedgehog rescue bits。 It's adorable!I also have to point out that this is a series and I'd never read it before, it's absolutely possible to 2。5 starsThank you to Netgalley and Boldwood books for providing me with a free Arc in exchange for an honest review!I thought it was absolutely fine but very mundane and not as christmassy as I would've thought from seeing the cover。 It is a heartwarming story however。 Told from multiple point of views with sweet and short chapters and I really enjoyed the hedgehog rescue bits。 It's adorable!I also have to point out that this is a series and I'd never read it before, it's absolutely possible to start with this book, there's some character and prequel summary in the first pages that will help you get a better sense of everything。 However I think you'd probably grow a deeper connection to the characters by reading the whole thing! 。。。more
